Adam Cook has served as Vice President and General Counsel of Metis Solutions since October of 2017 and has been the company’s acting General Counsel since 2013. As General Counsel, Adam ensures corporate compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and advises the CEO, Board of Directors, and other company leaders on legal issues impacting their respective domains. Adam also leads the company’s contract management and security teams—promoting responsiveness, accuracy, and compliance across the board.
Over the course of his 17-year legal career, Adam has worked in a variety of positions in government, the military, and private sector. As a JAG and civilian attorney for the Air Force, Adam has served in positions ranging from the Chief Legal Advisor for detainee operations in Afghanistan to Special Counsel to the Air Force General Counsel in the Pentagon. Adam has also worked in the private sector representing small businesses, technology companies and US government contractors in a variety of capacities. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and UCLA School of Law, Adam is licensed to practice before all courts in the states of Virginia and California, as well as the federal courts in the Central District of California, 9th US Circuit Court, and Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
